Christon Otto Gude Finalist (Grade 11, Dune Side Private School) and Nyasha Ian Marufu Finalist (Grade 7, Roshpinah Academy) were accompanied by Mrs Ursula Matzopoulos - Group Leader and Johannes Ndjamba from NCRST to the Eskom Expo for Scientist which was held in South Africa from the 5th to 9th October.
Two students, Nyasha Ian Marufu and Christon Otto Gude represented Namibia at the expo. Both these young aspiring scientist walked away with prizes.
Nyasha obtained a silver medal within the category of Medical Science: Human Biology Category (Anatomy, genetics, physiology).
Christon Otto Gude obtained 3 awards; (1) a silver medal, (2) an overall category winner award, and (3) a special award for a scholarship to Stellenbosch university for (worth R 30 000/1st year). He participated in the Engineering: Mechanical, Aeronautical and Industry category.
These awards are evident of the hardwork and dedication of our Namibian students. We are proud to be associated to these young and aspiring gentlemen.
