3 – 7 July 2017, Windhoek, NAMIBIA

The Namibia Water Corporation (Pty) Ltd (Namwater) the National Commission on Research Science and Technology (NCRST) in collaboration with the Water Research Commission (WRC) of South Africa and the Future Water Institute hosted by the University of Cape Town (UCT) hereby call for interested water management & design practitioners to register for an upcoming.

 

Water Sensitive Design Training Workshop

 

TARGET BENEFICIARIES

Engineers, local government officials, urban designers and planners, consultants, developers, architects and landscape architects, academics / researchers, and NGOs involved in the water space.

 

COURSE CONTENT

The course content will include (but not be limited to the following topics from a national, regional and international):  Water challenges; Overview of the Water Sensitive Design Principles; Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS); Building a Community of Practice in WSD; Establishing a vision/action plan for WSD; Co-learning.

 

COST

Participation is free; however, space is limited, therefore registration is essential. Participation by regional water practitioners is encouraged and limited mobility funds are available from participants from outside Windhoek.
