The National Commission on Research, Science and Technology (NCRST) sponsored N$30 000 towards the 6th International Conference on Business and Finance, held today until 16 October 2014 in Windhoek.
The Conference is jointly organized by Shri Ram College of Commerce, University of Delhi, Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences, University of Namibia, Faculty of Business, Cape Peninsula University of Technology, Faculty of Law and Management, University of Mauritius and School of Accounting, Finance and Economics, University of Technology, Mauritius – and aims to bring together, about 200 academics, practitioners, policy makers, researchers and students from all over the world. During the next three days participants will brain storm on contemporary issues in Management, Economics, Public Administration, Accounting and Finance and other business related topics.
“The National Commission on Research, Science and Technology recognised the potential of a conference such as this, as it provides an excellent opportunity for the academic and business communities to share cutting-edge research in all areas of Business, Finance, Accounting, Management, Marketing, Economics, Education, and related fields. The conference is truly global in nature with participants from around the world, and we believe it will be a fruitful endeavour for all institutions involved”, said Dr Eino Mvula, Chief Executive Officer at the NCRST.
The NCRST sponsorship towards the conference falls within the organisation’s Fund Mechanism, which invests in six primary areas: Research activities; Bursaries and Scholarships; Innovation activities; Bilateral & Multilateral cooperation; Training; and Workshops.
